I photograph objects that I encounter in my daily life: at home, hiking, and traveling, that draw me for some specific reason. Generally, what attracts me are shape, texture, and the varied quality of light reflecting off the object. This project, Edibles, is about the textures, shapes, and reflected light of a variety of fruits and vegetables. I have photographed to enhance and highlight these qualities. The image is manually extracted from the background and physically moved to, in this case, a solid black background.
